What does the free tier include?
Free includes the Foundations module, the AI readiness check, the public Briefing news feed, and the free Ethics course while spots last, plus the daily Briefing email — what changed in AI for financial advisors: model releases, regulator guidance, vendor news, and practical takeaways. You also get 5 free Prompt Builder checks per month. No credit card required. Aria, our AI assistant, and the rest of the Academy curriculum are part of the Individual plan (and Team / Enterprise). Advisors who claim the free Ethics course also get Aria and unlimited Prompt Builder use.
Do FinSay courses count for CFP Board CE credit?
Yes — FinSay is a CFP Board CE Sponsor. Four of our self-study AI courses have been accepted by CFP Board for CE credit (4 CE hours in total), and we report your completion to CFP Board on your behalf. FinSay is also a NASAA-approved IAR CE provider: AI Applications in Tax Planning for Investment Advisers (course C82230) is approved for 2.0 Products & Practice credits. NASAA does not endorse any particular provider of IAR CE courses. The content of the course and any views expressed are our own and do not necessarily reflect the views of NASAA or any of its member jurisdictions.
How many CE credits can I earn, and which courses?
You can earn up to 4 CE hours today from our courses accepted by CFP Board, with more added over time. CE is a free milestone embedded in the paid mastery journey — each CE course is an on-ramp into its practical, non-CE cluster.
Is there a free trial of the paid tiers?
We don't run a time-limited free trial of the Academy. Instead, the free tier — the Foundations module, the AI readiness check, and the public Briefing news feed — is free forever; that's the entry point. Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually with no minimum commitment, and you can cancel anytime within the billing period.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle. Team plans require a 3-seat minimum.
How does Team pricing work above 10 seats?
Team is $29/seat/month (or $290/seat/year) at the base rate. Firms with 10+ advisors get a custom volume quote. Firms with 50+ advisors should reach out for an Enterprise quote. Email hello@finsay.ai for either.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes — annual billing saves approximately 17% vs monthly on Individual and Team plans. Enterprise contracts are quoted annually with custom pricing.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and can invoice for annual Team and Enterprise contracts.
What security standards do you follow?
Our infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (which holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001/27017/27018 at the cloud level), and we encrypt data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). The platform is designed for SEC- and FINRA-regulated US financial advisors. finsay itself has not yet completed an independent SOC 2 assessment — that’s on our post-launch roadmap.
